• My experiences at a Michelin-starred restaurant

I had the pleasure to try a 5-course tasting menu at Edvard which is a Michelin-starred fine dining restaurant located at Palais Hansen Kempinski Vienna since 2014. In their haute cuisine the chef is combining fresh, regional and seasonal products with international cooking styles. Before the waiter said what the next course is I wanted to figure out what it is exactly from the colour and smell of the dish with a lot of luck. The food was served and presented as you would expect from an exceptional restaurant. I had a fantastic champagne to start as the sommelier recommended.
Each course was simply amazing: combinations of flavours and ingredients were unique. I loved the amuse bouche and the starters they served. One of my favourite dishes was the spinach cream with egg yolk, chicken, porcini and truffle which was served in a little bowl. I had a bad experience with octopus at another place earlier, but this time I wasn’t afraid to taste it. It was delicious and I have to emphasize the freshness and impeccable quality of the ingredients. The service was very friendly and completely professional.
