The dolce vita wardrobe of a Parisian woman
The auction house PENELOPE’S celebrates Italian style, from Milan to Palermo: sophisticated and ascetic, joyful or dramatic, conceptual yet rococo, cerebral, puritanical and irreverent, sensual, provocative, bold, exuberant – an allure that refuses to choose between gesture and brilliance, mind and body, refinement and excess. A capricious and radical style that wants everything, all the time.
A style explosion on Parisian sidewalks: PENELOPE’S unveils in June the flamboyant wardrobe of a former model from the 70s-80s, an icon of theatrical and unapologetic glamour. Between Dolce & Gabbana, Moschino, Prada and Versace, her dressing room celebrates a joyful, devastating and enchanting baroque style: prints, rhinestones, gilding, flowers in profusion. Everything is carefully chosen – shoes, headbands, handbags – to perfectly match each dress, each silhouette, in a spirit of theatrical fantasy.
A meticulously crafted, exuberant and fully embraced allure, with that certain girly madonna quality that hits the mark. 350 energising and irresistible lots for a style shoot as exuberant as it is delightful. A flashback to the “From Heart to Hand: Dolce & Gabbana” exhibition that dazzled us this winter.

Gianfranco Ferré Baroque Couturier
A sculpted elegance, between Italian opulence and architectural precision: PENELOPE’S unveils a wardrobe entirely dedicated to Gianfranco Ferré, bringing together 270 pieces from the 1990s and 2000s, from one of his most loyal devotees – an intimate friend of the designer. The Milanese master, known for his unparalleled craftsmanship, his taste for noble materials and his ready-to-wear close to couture, deploys here his entire stylistic vocabulary: impeccable construction, luxurious woolens, cashmeres and silks, sumptuous embroideries, generous volumes and baroque ornaments. A complete wardrobe designed for the life of an active and elegant woman: suits and chic everyday sportswear pieces, cocktail ensembles and evening dresses. Ferré, whose powerful and refined style has been experiencing a comeback in recent seasons, presents here an emblematic and rare wardrobe. Rediscovered by a generation tired of minimalism, Ferré seduces collectors and designers seeking strong references – a fashion of conviction, running counter to the prevailing lukewarmness on today’s runways.

PENELOPE’S organises themed auctions throughout the year, directly accessible from its website in collaboration with the Drouot platform.
