Are there beaches on Mars? If so, Julien Dossena of Rabanne has designed the perfect wardrobe for such a cosmic escape. His Spring/Summer 2026 collection takes a retro-futuristic plunge into 1950s beachwear, inspired by that era’s “glamorous screen sirens” and “opulent holiday escapism”, all beginning with the timeless swimsuit.
In Dossena’s hands, classic bathing suits transformed into pastel A-line dresses, edged with shimmering silver and gold ruffles that danced with movement. Bikini tops appeared beneath embellished cut-out blouses, paired with pleated pencil skirts cinched by oversized belts and lavish floral embroidery.
The designer’s nostalgic dive grew bolder still with inventive riffs on the wetsuit reimagined as zip-front neoprene trousers or sleek, gem-studded dresses hugging the body. Styled with tropical-print tees and metallic stilettos sprouting silver palm fronds, these pieces radiated brilliance, ready for a sun-soaked fantasy, whether on Earth or Mars.
